Maybe not.
I genuinely have no idea what members of the cast will be dying or cutting their hair or wearing contacts or anything like that. I assume that is the province of the wardrobe and makeup department, people who I have never met or talked to. Possibly after I visit the set I’ll have a better idea or possibly they might want to actually keep that information secret until there are photos of the actors in costume. That stuff would be the decision-making province of a team of people who I don’t know at’all.
As for Max, y’all have to believe me, he really, really isn’t in City of Bones! Neither are the Lightwood parents! The first time we ever meet them is City of Ashes, page 11.

“Jace!” Max, the youngest Lightwood, squeezed his way around Maryse and darted into the room, evading his mother’s reaching hand. “You’re back! You’re all back.” He turned in a circle, grinning at Alec and Isabelle in triumph. “I thought I heard the elevator.”
“And I thought I told you to stay in your room,” said Maryse.
“I don’t remember that,” said Max, with a seriousness that made even Alec smile. Max was small for his age…

Non so davvero se il cast si tingerà i capelli, li taglierà, indosserà le lenti a contatto o cose del genere. Penso si tratti di decisioni del dipartimento che si occupa del trucco e dell’abbigliamento, ovvero persone che non ho mai incontrato e con cui non ho mai neppure parlato. C’è la possibilità che dopo aver visitato il set io mi faccia un’idea migliore o che vogliano tenere quest’informazione segreta finché non saranno uscite le foto degli attori in costume. Questa roba sarebbe la decisione di un gruppo di persone che non conosco affatto.

Quanto a Max, dovete credermi, non compare davvero (davvero!) in City of Bones! E neanche i genitori! La prima volta che li incontriamo è a pagina 11 di City of Ashes.
